  • Bruce Springsteen 'The 70's' T-Shirt How's this for an obscure Bruce Springsteen 70's rock shirt? Springsteen was a pretty damn cool dude back in the 70's... as you can see. He really made his name as 'The Boss' in the 80's (you remember 'Born in the USA')... but this classic rendition of him shows just how seminal his image was to the entire 70's rock scene. The original E Street Band lineup included Clarence Clemons, Danny Federici, Vini 'Mad Dog' Lopez, David Sancious, Garry Tallent and Emmy-winning songwriter Bill Chinnock. We're not the hugest Springsteen / e Street Band fans, but we certainly wear this rock shirt a LOT... everywhere we go people comment on it... some recognize him, others just like the '70's rock guy'. We like the 70's scene... so this t-shirt makes for a perfect companion when we're grooving at the latest rock show. You simply can't go wrong with this tee, it's a classic.

  • Part of the River Tour launched in early October in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Springsteen's performance at the Oakland Coliseum followed by ten days the release of his 20-song, double LP, "The River." Destined to become his first number one album, the composer/singer/artist wrote the biographical title song in the narrative voice as he described the tough times and choices facing a family in the wake of the 1970s construction bust in New Jersey. Springsteen's sister, whose family was the unwitting model for the song, gave him a hug backstage when she first heard the number performed and told him, "That's my life."
