Baron Wolfgang von Strucker becomes involved, causing Wolverine and Captain America to turn their attention towards a fledgling HYDRA.Soon after wards, Seraph is killed by Sabretooth, presumably under the orders of the forces who have been manipulating Logan for years. Wolverine also sees action in the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s, along with good friend Puck. Eventually, Logan returns to Canada and again enlists in the Armed Forces, joining the First Canadian Parachute Battalion. It is with this battalion that Logan first encounters Bloodscream, an immortal being with vampire-like qualities and powers.
