The Black Angels "Cobra Snake" Stoner Rock T-Shirt We can all thank Roky Erickson and the 13th Floor Elevators, as well as The Velvet Underground, for this stoner psyk pop band... and for that matter, we can thank the long psychedelic rock history of Austin/Texas for the unimaginably groovy tunes of The Black Angels! With two insanely cool and laid-back albums ("Passover" and "Directions to See a Ghost")... the Black Angels have become one of the undisputed leaders in the neo-psych movement... and growing... the first album was a great groovy fuzzfest... while the second explored the more adventurous side of feedback and psych-out, but still keeping the super groove they're known for. I always enjoyed the Angels albums, but it's their live show that really drove it home... these guys sound identical in person, the tone is perfect, the loudness is just right... and the psych-out, OMG, the psyche-out was the best... so simple, they just hung a big white bedsheet to the back of the stage,
