BG062 is Wes Wilson's final Fillmore poster in his series of 56 and is a study in symbolism. Favorite themes of male-female duality and yin-yang are obvious, but Wilson's comments on the future of the counter-culture movement and his view of the predation of promoters are more subtle. The female gestures to her ripening belly wherein lies the sown seed of the future. But Wilson also casts a jaded eye on the avarice of the industry in general and Bill Graham in particular and brands the Fillmore banner at the bottom of the poster with a vaguely Christian symbol featuring the Almighty Dollar.
