Children need role models and not the kind on MTV singing groups or playing sports...they need something truly mythical to live up to...like Chuck Norris. Oh not a big Chuck Norris fan? You're lucky for he is merciful with his roundhouse kicks. The Mighty Norris does approve worship of his former protege though Superman! What you didn't know Chuck Norris was Superman's teacher? Yep...'cept they used to call him ol' Chucky Jor-L on Krypton and that was right before he destroyed it with a round house. I believe that his roundhouse kick has also been called 'the Spectre'. You guys have to forgive me for this mass of incoherent text. Just get this 100% cotton Superman Kids Symbols Oil Wash T-Shirt(made from a high quality 30 single thread count) for your little Superboy-in-training. Features some fancy symbols and some faded images. I'm mildly jealous!male - child$24.99

Jack Healy of Amnesty International sought out Bill Graham to produce a tour that would focus attention on their efforts world-wide over the last 25 years. Graham told Healy what he told anyone who approached him with a worthy cause: "... get me the talent and I'll do the rest." The tour quickly took shape after Bono of U2 signed on, but the undertaking was not without crises. An early venue lost money, and there was a contentious meeting about television rights. In the end, the tour served as excellent promo for the participating bands, the concerts were sold out, and MTV filmed the grand finale at Giant's Stadium.male - adult$48.00

The US Festival was a massive undertaking promoted by Bill Graham and sponsored by Steve Wozniak of Apple Computers. It was the first major festival in over a decade that wasn't a charity event; the 3-day concert was simply a celebration of technology. The US Festival was the earliest large concert to use video screens, and the onstage action was also broadcast live to MTV viewers at home. There were large air-conditioned tents featuring the "US Festival Technology Exposition" which was an impressive presentation of then-cutting edge computers, software, and electronic music devices. The event took place in 105 degree heat, hosted 400,000 people, saw 12 overdoses and 36 arrests, and was a commerical failure (with losses totaling $12.5 million), but that didn't discourage Wozniak from sponsoring another US Festival the following year.male - adult$65.00

Poltergeist 'TV Ghost' Horror Movie T-Shirt First let me point out that Tobe Hooper directed the first Poltergeist movie (co-written by Steven Spielberg)... that in itself is enough reason to buy this 100% unusal sci-fi horror film t-shirt, this guy made The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, he created Leatherface!! That's 100% awesome. Beyond that, the Poltergeist trilogy itself are pretty wicked-good horror flics... particularly the crazy demon preacher... Kane (Julian Beck)... he's one of the creepiest villains ever to hit the big screen... which is why we quoted him on this classic TV ghost tshirt (we tried to recreate his vocal mannerism on the shirt itself)... absolute creepy weirdness: God is in, his holy temple! Inadvertently, we discovered this shirt could also be taken from a socio-political standpoint... we all know The MTV generation was basically the last hurrah before the (neverending) Doom Generation, and this is likely attributable to our relentless television watching and videomale, female - adult$12.99

Videodrome 'SciFi TV' Horror Movie T-Shirt First it controls your mind, then you buy everything you see on television. everything.Haha, well... political sci-fi t-shirts are in short supply these days, and what better movie to bring them to the surface with than Cronenberg's horror masterpiece, Videodrome (James Woods, Debbie Harry)! If you haven't watched this cult film, it's an absolute must-see... considering it was made in 1983 (one year before the doom filled predictions of 1984's Big Brother),it's interesting to see how visionary director David Cronenberg fleshed-out themes of snuff movies, softcore pornography, ultra-violence, sex and punk sadomasochism and the socio-political fight for your mind (and wallet) through television. Of course, this time period was also the beginning of The MTV generation... having started in 1981, the music channel gained an almost instant fanatic following the first few years. This unflinching adoration was ferociously on the minds of parents and pmale, female - adult$12.99

Pantera 'Dimebag Darrell' Metal Guitar T-Shirt I remember watching MTV back in the day, probably Headbangers Ball with Ricky Rachtman or maybe Henry Rollins was hosting, not sure... but I remember them interviewing Pantera for the upcoming ' Far Beyond Driven' album, partilcularly Phil Anslemo and Dimebag Darrell. The main take-away from the interview, the intense focal point, was that this album was to be the heaviest heavy metal album to ever be released... ever! Hell yeah, now that's a war I like to see people fighting! The old Pantera concerts were incredible... massive heavy metal events where people would tailgate hard... go inside and rock the fcuk out! I must have seen them 10 times or so, no joke... they came around often, and we always went to join in the madness... towards the end of the run, they would fly a gigantic arena-sized flag that was made up of sewn bedsheets that various fans had painted and drawn on (with more than a few pot leafs, I might add)... creating the lamale, female - adult$12.99
