What Your T-Shirt Says About You – Part 1: The Lovable Geek
In a world where first impressions can mean the difference between landing the job or filing for unemployment, scoring a date or getting rejected, impressing her parents or ending up alone for the rest of your life — it’s no surprise that what you wear actually tells people a lot about the type of person you are. And nothing –aside from solid gold spandex or a robin’s egg blue tuxedo — is more expressive than a carefully-selected t-shirt.
So, what does your t-shirt say about you?
The Lovable Geek
If the first thing you do after you wake up in the morning is throw on your “Vader was Framed” shirt, not only do I automatically know that you could probably reenact the entire Star Wars Trilogy for my evening’s entertainment, but you also likely have the entire series of books lining your shelves at home and possibly a light sabre stashed away in your night stand. Yoda is like your personal Dalai Lama, and you’re not afraid to say it.
AmIRight?
And that’s nothing to be ashamed of. Ever since McLovin knocked back a couple of beers with some cops in Superbad and Shia LaBeouf nailed Megan Fox on Transformers, it’s cool to be a geek. In fact, I’d venture to guess that you wear your geekdom as proudly as you sport your favorite, pointy-eyebrowed Vulcan right there on your shirt.
So what else do your “geek-shirts” say about you?
If you regularly wear t-shirts of stereotypically geeky subject matter, including but not limited to: Star Wars, Star Trek, World of Warcraft, or basically anything involving wars in outer space, don’t be surprised when women start asking you to fix their computers, or when guys start assuming you can help them with their math homework. This also pertains to t-shirts containing “techy” humor, including jokes about motherboards and silly geek puns.
People will also probably assume that you have above average intelligence and a helpful, “go-to” personality, albeit occasionally socially awkward. But that’s okay with them, because geeks are the new black – they’re slimming, easy on the eyes, and they look good with everything.
So live long, and prosper – for you are a lovable geek.

As a person (read – Geek) who values his t-shirts ,and thinks of them as a looking-glass into the type of person he is, it’s always good to find a place where we know it is often appreciated.
Keep up the good shirts (and write ups).
